Yellowstone

After packing up our camper and restocking our food supplies, we headed to (surprise) Starbucks. We got cocoa and coffee (and wifi). Then we went to Goodwill to get our "souvenirs." We shopped for a while then headed to Yellowstone. On our way we took a detour to go to another "ghost town." It was called Virginia City in Montana. Virginia City isn't really a ghost town. It was an old mining town. Then people abandoned it. The buildings were left standing. After a while, people moved in and built more modern buildings. They left the old mining town, even fixed them up. They turned the old buildings that could still be used into shops and restaurants. There was an old candy shop, barber shop, saloon, pub, law office, post office, grocery stores, houses, and more shops. The town was complete with a cemetery. Buried there are five murderers. They worked together and went on a killing spree, then they got caught. They were all hung on my grandma's birthday, January 14. Except they were hung in the 1800's. After hanging around the town for a few hours and having lunch we finished driving into Yellowstone. We had a reservation at a KOA waiting for us. We're planning on staying four nights. On our way down, we saw a nest of hawks. We got there and set our camper up. Morgan, Joshua, and my dad went to the pool for a while. Since I wasn't feeling well, my mom and I stayed at our camper and watched Netflix. When they came back from swimming, we drove into Yellowstone. We crossed the Montana-Wyoming border (twice) and saw a herd of caribou. We saw boiling mud pots and geysers. Unfortunately, we didn't see Old Faithful. It started to rain, so we went back to our camper because we had left our "windows" opened. On our way back we saw a beautiful sunset and a bald eagle next to it. We came back to our camper. Joshua, Morgan, and my dad went swimming again while my mom and I tried to watch Netflix. The wifi wasn't working, so while we were waiting for it to load, we fell asleep. This morning we we got dressed and ready to go. We're planning on going horse back riding. Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
