World's Largest Wooden Purple Spoon (maybe)

This morning, after setting down our camper, we went to Starbucks. We got everything from a latte to a banana. It helped us stay awake since we had to wake up so early this morning due to the squawking of big huge rude birds. Someone had left garbage on the bear-proof dumpster instead of putting it inside. The birds were having a feast and telling all their friends about it. I guess actually the people were rude, not the birds. Then we said goodbye to Banff and headed down to Calgary. We stopped at Fort Calgary which is now a museum about the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the role they played in developing the town. The museum was adorable! There was an early 1800's town in the museum, complete with a town jail. We dressed up like 19th century people and had a "picnic". They had a radio station, a newspaper office with a printing press, a shoe store, even a trolley and a car. Next we went down to Glacier National Park, back in the USA. There was a lot of smoke in the air from the wildfires in British Columbia, and you could just see the silhouette of the mountains through the smoke. It looked pretty cool. We went through customs (apparently you can't bring Canadian firewood into America) and called to reserve a campsite in Glacier. On our way, we stopped at a tourist attraction: The world's largest purple wooden spoon (maybe, according to the sign). I'm serious. It was in front of a shop that sells handmade wooden spoons and wands. Yes, wands. Mom bought a pretty bracelet made from pecan wood and inlaid with turquoise. We also stopped at a monument in the Lewis and Clark National Forest dedicated to Teddy Roosevelt. After that we went to our campsite and only got a little bit lost. We did laundry and took showers; watched a squirrel throw pine cones out of a tree; cooked hotdogs; even hung in our enos. Tomorrow we're planning to explore Glacier National Park and do something water related. Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
