Today did not go as planned. Originally, we were planning to go on a boat tour, but instead we went to Minnewanka Lake. This morning, we took a hike that looped around the lake. We were supposed to be able to see an old, abandoned mining town, but we never did. We found an awesome cove that was so cool. There were all these driftwood logs washed up on shore, and somebody had used a bunch of them to build a little shelter and pier. It was so cute that we were inspired to build our own shelter. Dad helped us. It turned out pretty cute. It was lunch time after we finished hiking, so we left the lake to find somewhere to eat. On our way we saw a herd of big horned sheep. After lunch we stopped at two different places to swim but didn't like the looks of them, so eventually we ended back up at Minnewanka Lake. On our way down to the lake we saw another herd of big horned sheep. We swam around in the shallow water then swam out to an island. There was a big rock we could jump off into the lake. We met two nice ladies there from England. Then we went back to our spot on the shore and dried off. For the next hour, we made a chipmunk army. Well, not an army; more like a circus. You'd be surprised what a chipmunk will do for a goldfish. We played with them, made them do tricks, and then had them eat out of my napping dad's belly button. Then we went back to our campsite and got ready for dinner. We walked around, had dinner, and ate ice cream. Tomorrow we are getting up early to go to Glacier National Park (in the USA). Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
Pictures to come when I have better service.
