Last night we had a corn hole tournament. My brother and I were on a team, and my sister and dad were on a team. Joshua and I lost. Morgan and my dad beat us by two. Probably because I'm not very good at corn hole. When we woke up, we set our camper down. Before we left, our parents let us play on the playground for a few minutes. We stopped at the Kamloops visitors center because we had heard rumors that there had been wildfires in Jasper. Thankfully they were just that, rumors. There were wildfires near the area, though. Because of evacuation, they were many people at the campsite that were evacuees. After leaving the very nice visitors center, we drove into Jasper. On our way, we passed through the continental divide and changed time zones. We got lucky. The campsites were all supposed to be booked in Jasper, but there was one site available due to a recent cancellation. We set up our camper. Afterwards, we were making a plan to decide what we wanted to do with the rest of the day when a neighbor motioned us toward her. We went over, and she pointed out a fox, running across the campsites near us. After going back to our camper, we decided to go to Miete Hot Springs. On our way we saw a moose, a herd of caribou, and a herd of big horned sheep. We got to the hot springs, paid, then changed into our bathing suits. The hot springs were so warm! The thermometer in the springs said the water was 104°F. We stayed at the hot springs for a couple of hours then headed back to our campsite. We heated up soup (hot soup!) and relaxed at our camper for the rest of the night. Tomorrow we will explore Jasper National Park. Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
