After we left the Hall of Mosses yesterday, we went to Ruby Beach. The tidal pools were amazing! There were huge starfish stuck to sides of boulders, clams littering the ground like stars in the sky, and caves all over that place. The water was frigid, though, so we didn't go swimming. Well, I didn't go swimming. Morgan and Joshua jumped right in, clothes and all. This morning we set down our camper then went over to the same coffee shop we went to yesterday. Then we headed back to Olympic National Park. We hiked a short trail to a waterfall, Sol Duc Falls. It was small but spectacular. There were fallen logs criss crossing over the falls, and the water was a mint blue color. After leaving the falls, we headed to Seattle. On our way, we stopped at Lake Crescent. The water was so clear we could see the rocks at the bottom. We swam at the lake and had a picnic on the rocks. After we dried off, we tossed rocks into the water for a while then loaded back up and headed off toward Seattle. We stopped at a KOA campsite and set up our camper. After it was set up, we drove into downtown Seattle. As of now, we're at Athenian Seafood Restaurant and Bar for dinner. Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
