We made it to Weiser, Idaho last night. It was really late, so we got a motel. This morning, we woke up and took hot showers. After loading all of our things back into our car, we set out for Hells Canyon in Idaho. Hells Canyon is the deepest canyon in America, even deeper than the Grand Canyon. The drive into the canyon was long and tiring. The road was so narrow and windy, and we kept going up a mountain, down a mountain, for two hours. When we got there, the road was about to close for three hours. We thought we were going to be so bored, because the only place on the the side of the opened road was a visitors center. There were several rafting and jet boat tours about to leave as we got there. My dad ran down and asked if we would be able to join them. The jet boat tour let us join, as long as we payed after the tour, which we did. As soon as we got on the boat, it left the dock. The ride was amazing! We went over rapids and got splashed; we went swimming on a sandy beach. The animal we've wanted to see this whole trip has been a bear. Just one bear. You'll never guess what we saw on the boat ride. A bear!! Not just one, though. We saw three bears! A momma bear and twin cubs. They were adorable. They would come over to the edge of the water and stare at us, posing at the same time. My mom took about fifty pictures. Five minutes after seeing the bears, we saw a bald eagle. He was high up on a rock, so we couldn't see him very well. Regardless, he was still cool. The trip lasted about two hours, and when we got off the boat, we had a picnic lunch. The road opened early, so after we ate lunch, we got to leave. We drove for a few more hours, had dinner, then set off again. As of now, we are on our way to Washington, so we can see Mt. Saint Helens tomorrow. Stay tuned to experience our adventure!
